Of Presentations and Short Reunions.

Listening to: Last Train Home by Lostprophets.

At last I have completed my History presentation which is due this Thursday. It was all last minute work and I am very, very proud of myself. I am worried though, that a few of my group members didn't receive the e-mail I sent regarding which part of the chapter I chose to present. I'm just afraid that what we have chosen to present would clash. Plus, I don't have much credit left to text them. I'll just hope our topic of choice won't clash.

I downloaded the video for my Sociology presentation about an hour ago. Now all I need to do is come up with 15 questions based on what I am going to present to ask the class next Wednesday. Why am I even rushing? I could gao tim my work in less than two days. I am rushing because my group leader wants to compile our questions together. Or something like that. I think. I don't know when we have to do it, but I have got a feeling it's gonna be after our Sociology class this Wednesday. Let's just hope I've got my presentation ready.

Oh and btw, the reunion last Friday was good. Only flaw is that it was very last minute, causing not many to turn up. Plus, it's on the same day as Arthur's Day! What a downer. Second SK USJ 20 reunion so far. I hope there would be more to come!

PS: I love you.

Happy Family Fun.

Listening to: Bad by Michael Jackson

My family means the world to me. Does yours?

Dad, me and Hannah shared a cake on Hannah's birthday (270809). Cut costs ma (:

My 16 year-old brother may be the grumpiest, but he rarely grumbles when I attempt to tie up his hair.

My 12 year-old sister painting my toenails. She had to persuade me after quite some time until I agreed. Sigh. Tweens.

My dad and my Kickapoo. I think this one was taken at USJ 23 a few months back.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I'm So Immature.

Listening to: Shou Fang Kai by Lee Sheng Jie

If anyone of you actually bother to watch the video I embedded into my blog, it's by swiftkaratechop. This is the second time I'm actually featuring him on my blog because, well, he's just effed up. I used to watch a lot of his videos 2 years ago but now I just don't seem to have the time anymore. I still remember Marcus saved that song in his phone and randomly played it when he parked his bike in my house before going to school 2 years ago. Shows that people actually watch the video. Oh well, who can deny swiftkaratechop is friggin' outta this world.

It is time for me to start on my American Civilization (due on 1st October) and Sociology (due on 7th October) presentations. My group's topic for AC is The New Republic. I have not read up on it so I don't have a clue what it's about. Trust me to like history, I don't even know why I took this subject in the first place.

The topics my Sociology group would be covering is Race and Ethnicity and Gender. I selected a few subtopics from the Race and Ethnicity chapter. Now all I need to do is read up on the chapter, search for a video related to what I'm presenting and select questions to ask. And then I would be done! Not really. I've still got to film some experiment for Sociology and I don't know what type of video for AC.

Sigh.

PS: Baby I miss you so much ):

Sunway Pyramid with Tweens.

Listening to: Don't Know Much by Linda Rodstadt and Aaron Neville

Friday, 190909

I didn't know there were gonna be so many of them. From what my sister described, I thought I would be babysitting a few of them. I didn't know a few meant 8 kids.

I had never managed so many kids my whole life. The last time I did that was late 2008 with help from Yizhong. I was taking care of 4 11 year-olds at the same venue and I was already on the verge of falling apart. This time, it's double the number and there are boys. Which, thankfully are not as noisy as the girls. Sigh. Tweens. What a sight.

Tweens are camera shy. Thus, the blurred picture. It was like trying to snap an up-close picture of lions mating or something. The way the react everytime I whip out my phone and aim the camera at them. And their voices somehow manage to attract annoyed glances from people around me. Oh, I did not know where to hide my face. Tweens at their peak. Ho hum.

Paige and Shazreen. My sister's friends since like.. forever?

My sister was trying to avoid the camera. Her friend, Mei Mi.

Tweens these days. Paige (the one in black) is almost as tall as me. And she's just 12!

Ben, John, Mei Mi, Paige, Raj and Shazreen. My sister is tying Teck Ken's skates for him. I had to tie up almost every one's skates. Bear in mind that they are 12 year-olds with not much strength. I'm not saying that I have a lot of strength though. I am weak. But of course, being 6 years older, I have more strength than they do. Weeee! I didn't mind helping them with their skates because if their skates weren't tied up properly and somebody sprained an ankle, guess who would be blamed?

While skating, some idiot had to throw a dragon-egg firecracker into the rink. That asshole. It made my sister panic, fall down and bring me down along with her. I became emo. It's been years since I fell down in the rink. I know it's no big deal. Some of you probably fall down in there so often. He he. I stopped skating a short while after the firecracker incident though, because a blister was forming above my left heel. By the time I got out of the skating rink, it hurt so bad. I could barely walk properly, I was limping. I've never had a blister this bad in years. What luck.

Little tweens manja-ing with the staff at some Okonomiyaki/Takoyaki/Bubble Tea shop in Asian Avenue. They asked the staff for cheese and he gave them a small stick of cheese each. Ah, what fun. I wasn't so daring when I was 12. After having their bubble teas and food, the left for the arcade while mum and I went shopping! She bought a few tops and I bought a pair of skinny pants. I feel fat wearing it ):

Chicken and cheese okonomiyaki! A type of Japanese pancake. Cost me RM8 but it was filling. It is goooooooooood, to a certain extent. Something different from my casual Takoyaki with no tako (tako means octopus, I usually have chicken and cheese takoyaki).

PS: The day wasn't perfect without Baby by my side )':

Wasting My Time.

Listening to: Just Dance by Lady GaGa

I'm supposed to be cleaning up the guest room but here I am wasting my time.

I'm supposed to be preparing for my American Civilization presentation but here I am wasting my time.

I'm supposed to be preparing for my Sociology presentation but here I am wasting my time.

Luckily I already finished my part of Interpersonal Communication assignment which is due tomorrow. That's it. No more procrastinating. Once I get home from Pyramid, I'm going to clean up the room before doing anything else. The all of you are my witnesses. Yes, I am going to Pyramid. To babysit my sister and a few other 12 year-olds. Aren't I a nice sister? (:

Will update once I get home. I mean, after I clean up the guest room.

PS: I wish someone could help me babysit D<

Fuck You Kanye.

Listening to: Love In This Club by Usher featuring Young Jeezy

To those of you who have not watched the the MTV VMA yet:

Kanye is such a bitch.

I'm sorry I can't get the original version, I only managed to find this version with it being remixed to the song Heartless by the bitch himself. Come on, look at Beyonce's face when it happened! I bet she was fucking embarrassed when he did that shit to poor Taylor. I mean I'm not a hardcore fan of Taylor's but I feel sympathetic towards the 19 year-old.

Fuck you Kanye, I'm with Taylor all the way now thanks to your stupid drunk act.

PS: Baby I hope your ESL paper today is easy. Missing you ):

What If I Did?

Listening to: I'd Come For You by Nickelback

This short post is about what I would do if and only if I stuck to the media blackout for 48 hours.

If I did, I would play my piano for hours.

If I did, I would start playing sports again.

If I did, I would clean up my room.

If I did, I would go to the pet shop and buy myself a few fishes or tortoises or lobsters or shrimps to entertain myself.

If I did, I would learn how to cook (embarrassing, but yes, I don't know how to cook).

If I did, I would look forward to talking/texting/seeing Baby after 48 hours.

If I did, I would start gardening.

If I did, I would sleep all day because I can't look forward to anything requiring media.

If I did, I would study.

If I did, I would lie on the floor in a spread eagle position (no 18SX thoughts please) and rot the whole day away.

Credits to my friend for suggesting this topic.

I am not oblivious to the fact that I have not carried out my individual Sociology assignment properly. But I don't think I could survive without any form of media. As you can see, media is a part of not only our lives but also, us. We watch TV, listen to music on the radio, surf the web, read newspapers and use our cell phones E-VE-RY-DAY. To be honest, I have never thought about what it would be like without any form of media. That is, until Ms. Jaime gave us our assignment.

I am anything but thrilled at the fact that I have to block out all media for 48 hours.

But you and I both know that I did not give a f*cking shit (:

If any of my classmates or Ms. Jaime stumble across this, I'd be skinned alive.
