Short Update.

Listening to: Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper

I'm too lazy to find a picture of Cyndi Lauper so screw it lah. I barely have the time to blog anymore. I've been going out nonstop ever since Saturday. Or maybe even before, I can't remember. It has just been really hectic for me lately. My Inter. Comm. presentation is due tomorrow and I'm barely halfway through. My American Civ., Socio and English presentations are due next week, and then it'll be study break, yay! After that, finals ):

I'm gonna continue with my work now. Baby's been so busy the past few days I barely text him anymore. Sigh.

I don't even know when is the next time I'm gonna update. I've got class for 6 hours straight tomorrow. After class I'm going to Kayu with the youths and Baby for Andrew's farewell. He's going back to Australia, which is.. sad. To be honest. He's been a great ball of energy, and it was really good. Sad to see him go so fast.

I'm gonna go back to my presentation points now. Good night.

Nicholas Goh.

Listening to: Water flowing/trickling/bubbling in the fish tank.

This post has nothing to do with me, just my 16 year-old brother.

A few hours ago I came across my brother's profile on Facebook. I was shocked.

A month or so ago, I tied small bunches of his hair up. Much to my dismay, his hair wasn't as long as before.

I then took a picture of him. I tagged him on Facebook. And he set it as his profile picture:

A few hours ago I dropped by his profile again and I rofl-ed.

His friend, Edwin, drew a picture of him using some illustrator or photoshop I suppose. Good job.

PS: I hope you're having fun at prom Baby.

2012 Premiere Screening.

Listening to: Bu Neng Shuo De Mi Mi by Jay Chou

111109, Wednesday

I won a pair of tickets to Nuffnang's 2012 premiere screening at Cathay Cineplex Damansara. First time driving there with Baby and, surprise - we didn't get lost! Please don't laugh. It's just that we seldom drive all the way to Damansara just to watch a movie. We had dinner at Uncle Ong's house before leaving at 7 PM plus. Movie tickets could be collected between 8.30 PM - 9.30 PM. We left early because: 1) we were afraid of taking any wrong turns and ending up lost; and 2) we wanted to walk around e@Curve and The Curve.

We walked up to the highest floor, where the cineplex is located. We looked around the place, and came across a toy store (okay, I wouldn't say toy store lah, maybe some toy collectors store) located in the cineplex, MySciFiFan - or at least that's what I think the shop was called (there was no signboard). Baby's sharp eyes caught sight of a Nerf on display. He immediately walked into the shop. The guy at the counter happened to be a prefect from my high school, 3 years my senior, Raymond. Baby started enquiring about the Nerf(s). I walked around the shop looking at collectibles (Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, etc.).

Note the Vulcan Nerf on the counter. Here's a close up:

After much enquiring, Baby decided to buy a Nerf gun for himself: Sniper Rifle Nerf which cost Rm150. We walked back to his car to keep the Nerf, then proceeded back to the cineplex to collect our tickets.

Baby's one is orange and yellow. It's like a 2in1 Nerf (I played with it too!). Watch the Nerf Office War here.

Sorry for being jakun and taking a picture of the mall. It's just that I have never been to e@Curve before. Don't laugh please. After collecting the tickets, we walked to The Curve throught The Street. Finally saw how the famous Laundry bar looks like. I feel like an orang kuno ):

My friend's parents' restaurant, Marche.

I fought with a lil' kid to sit have a ride on the car :p

We left The Curve at 9.10 PM. By the time we actually made it into the cinema hall, it was already 9.30 PM. We had to deposit our handphones, cameras, etc. and the premiere screening was together with hitz.fm, Era fm and NTV7. We were separated into different halls though, thankfully. We had to wait for the hall to be filled up. By the time the movie started, it was already 10 PM.

Thankfully, 2012 wasn't one of the worst movies this year. But it certainly wasn't one of the best either. I preferred The Day After Tomorrow to 2012. Somehow. There's no denying the CGI was awesome. Never have I sat through 2 hours and 45 minutes of goosebumps and chills running down my spine. This movie made me feel tired all the way. I guess it was because of the near-death scenes throughout the movie. My jaw dropped when I saw people hanging from the ledges of buildings crashing down during the earthquake. It is now a scene embedded in my mind forever.

Overall, I would give this movie a 6/10. Entertaining but not entirely satisfying.

My Baby ada moustache :p

If I 'm A Ninja Assassin...

Listening to: What's This by Fall Out Boy

...I would cast myself as a ninja assassin in a movie which main character is played by a ninja assassin (:

PS: I didn't have a scarf to hide my face so I had no choice but to censor it. I am an assassin after all.

You Make...

Listening to: NightmaRe by SNoW (Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori OST)

my hair stand on end when you kiss me;

my heart thump so hard against my chest, I could feel it in my throat;

me sigh contentedly every time I look at you;

me feel like the happiest person on Earth;

me cry just thinking about you;

me want to learn more about you;

my world go round;

me feel so loved when you hug me;

me want to be a better person;

me wish you would be mine forever.

Howling at the New Moon.

Listening to: Can't Stop Believing by Tetsu

I still remember late last year when I was 17, it was 2 months before SPM. I saw female juniors walking everywhere in school with either Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse or Breaking Dawn clasped in their hands. And then I heard about Twilight being made into a movie which was going to be released in that year (2008) too. I talked to people (mostly girls) - who read the Twilight Saga - about Twilight. I asked them how good the book is. I received mixed reviews. There were some who said Stephenie Meyer (author of Twilight) didn't stand a chance against J.K. Rowling (author of the Harry Potter series). There were also those who said that the Twilight Saga are the best novels in a decade.

I tried it out for myself.

I bought the first book, and much to dismay, the storyline was sappy and boring. How people actually compare this series with Harry Potter, I did not know. Then I watched the movie, which was bad. Robert Pattinson was nothing like what I imagined Edward Cullen to be.

Then I bought the second instalment to the series. Which was wayyyy better than the first. The plot was so much more better, and there was more of Jacob Black and less of Edward Cullenewwww.

Then Jon bought Eclipse and Breaking Dawn for me. Eclipse was just out of this world but Breaking Dawn was disturbing.

Overall, Stephenie Meyer did a great job coming up with such creativity. Her novels can not be compared to J.K. Rowling's novels as her targeted audience are from tweens to young adults whereas Rowling's novels are for those of all ages.

What I liked
about the Twilight Saga is Meyer portraying Isabella Swan as someone who gets confused over who she really loves. Her feelings are swinging back and forth, making us wonder who she would really choose after all. Somehow, us girls tend to put ourselves in her shoes during our course of reading all four novels. Those who are hardcore Edward fans, would of course hope Bella ends up marrying him. Same goes for the Jacob fans.

I am looking forward to watching New Moon. Taylor Lautner weih. More of Taylor and less of Robbie. Something I am looking forward to. I hope it would not end up like Twilight: The Movie though. I can't wait to see Taylor Lautner and his Quilete werewolf pack. I can't wait to see Dakota Fanning as Jane, part of the Volturi. I can't even wait for Eclipse to be released so I can see a vampires and werewolves showdown; and then cooperation. Something really worth watching (if the movie directors are good).

To be honest, if Meyer were to release another Twilight Saga novel, I would buy it. What lays ahead is something worth reading.

She looks like a vampire herself!

EnglishComposition, TheCurve, and FeelingBad.

Listening to: Falling Slowly by Kris Allen (not the original version)

I have learnt my lesson. Never again am I going to start a thousand words research essay 24 hours before I have to pass it up. It causes me sleep deprivation, eye bags, and dry eyes which causes my contact lens to dry up and hurt my eyes. I have never done so much research in my life. I suppose it's a good start though. I have found out a lot that I have never known about euthanasia. But it would all go to waste: I'm gonna forget it all (:

Went to class on Wednesday morning having only four hours of sleep which is very common among people my age. Still, it hasn't happened to me in quite a while. Four hours of sleep is just, bleh. First thing I heard once I stepped into class was the lecturer saying,"No need to pass up today, next week lah." Zomgwtf if I could I wanted my eyeballs to pop out to show her how pissed I was. But she made up for it by giving us an extra 2 marks. Those who have completed their research paper on that day. I was (and still am) kind of put off at the fact that I only received an extra 2 marks.

Are you for or against? I'm for of course.

When in class, rot.

Spot the lecturer, V*** ***i.

Fellow sleep deprived rotters.

I skipped American Civ. today for The Curve+Ikano. Much to my dismay, I didn't get a book to read from Borders (I have run out of books to read, if you would like to donate one to me, please do). My hands are itching to get a book to read. I wanna get my hands on The Time Traveler's Wife. Sigh.

Sorry for going off track. I didn't bother taking many pictures, was too lazy to take out my phone every few minutes. I saw JJ at The Curve!

Wenli taking a picture of.. sheepskin. Baaa.

Baby and Wenli.

Wenli, Aunty Doraline and Uncle Ong at some German restaurant. Forgot the name. I have never eaten so much pork at one go before. A new accomplishment!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skipping class today has left me feeling bad after a few of my classmates told me that my Amercian Civ. teacher saved me a seat in class ):

There were four seats in that row, and apparently the three of them sat there. We always have problems finding empty seats in class because we're always late. So, the three of them sat together, leaving one more seat empty. She chased away every late student who wanted to sit at that seat and according to one of my friends she told him it was for me. Don't know if he was lying or not. Now I feel extremely bad. Thankfully she was in a good mood. I hope she won't screw me up tomorrow ):
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, the plate is a bit of a spoiler. This chocolate cheesecake from Berry's tasted awesome!

I would like to quote Albert Einstein: I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.

PS: Baby, I don't want you to give up. I guess what you did was right. I love you.
